Here is an Advanced dumbbell workout for your Tuesday morning. Like a few of the other pieces of equipment I have in my gym, the Dumbbell has been a definite keeper in my functional training arsenal since the beginning.
I really enjoy using dumbbells specifically for pendulum movements. Pendulum movements embody everything a person needs to know to develop rhythmic explosiveness, along with dynamic flexibility. In this video I cover a full workout that targets every plane of motion, while implementing these pendulum movements. Enjoy!!!

Firstly, thanks for making this valuable information available, I came across your site and training systems a week ago and although I thought I knew a bit about functional training it has really opened new posibilities for the way I training and the way I train my students.
The question I wanted to ask is in realation to the pendulum lunges and the depth and width of the lunging phase. It seems quite short and shallow is there any specific reason for this or is it more important that the knee isnt coming over the toe and the spine is neutral?
