I’m a big fan of functional patterns and Naudi’s work. Currently it is difficult for me to squat or do explosive movements from the legs. I have bulging l4 and l5 discs in my back and get clicking a lot in my right lower back and sometimes in the front of my hip. My goal is to get back to training mma with no pain or restrictions in my movements. I was wondering if you have any advice for me and if you have any connections in Orem, Utah I could possibly work with. Thank you.

      Hey Dylan,

At present we don’t have anyone in Utah. However we do have an online 10 week course which continues to prove its worth. Please fee tree to take a look:

Throughout this year we will continue to rigorous certification process of FP practitioners, so fingers crossed one will pop up near you soon.

Can you tell me what equipment is required for the online course? I’ve read through the description, but I don’t see a syllabus for the course roll out or equipment list needed, if any.

    • William Menzies January 30, 2017 at 12:10 pm - Reply

      Hey Nancy,
Thank you for your commenting interest in our online course. All the equipment required can be found at your local gym or purchased online:

      – Lacrosse or other type Ball for MFR (ideally you’d have a few different sizes but not super important)
      – Dumbbells
      – Thera-Cane for MFR
      – PVC Pipe
      – Varied Resistance Bands (with or without handles)
      – Weighted Pulley Machine

I trust this helps if you have any further enquiries please ask.

    Hi Naudi and team,

I would really like to train with you guys! Is there anyone about to become certified in Stockholm, Sweden?

Hi William. I’ve left a message on Facebook about the 10 week course and had no reply. I want to do the online course but do I need any special equipment. Some of the videos I’ve seen use equipment that is not readily available. What equipment is needed to be able to work through the online training?

      Hey Craig,

So sorry you haven’t had a reply via a Facebook message I have looked there but couldn’t see anything.

With regards to the 10 week course, you’ll need: PVC pipe, Dumbbells, Resistance bands and Cable machine or Resistance bank with Handles, dumbbells and some balls of various densities.

      Hope this helps,

Thanks for the reply. I’ve actually just paid for the level 1 – 5 downloads. Can you tell me what the difference is between this and the 10 week online course? Would I still do the online course also prior to attending a week certification program? Do they have a different focus as it looked a bit to me like the 10 week course speaks about rehabilitation and the level 1 – 5 seems to focus on fitness. I’m interested in the rehabilitation aspects but not sure if level 1 – 5 is old content, different content or just delivered in a different format.

        Appreciate your input.

        • William Menzies March 28, 2017 at 9:31 am - Reply

The content is very different. The 10 week course is designed to get to body integrated in order to safely conduct the exercises featured in the Levels 1- 5.

          Many thanks,

What is the difference between the 10 week online course and the “FP functional training system” Levels 1 – 5? Which one would I do if I wanted to become certified?
