Here is another functional training instructional video of me showing you how to effectively use a Medicine Ball. This is one of those pieces of equipment that have stayed in my personal training arsenal since the time I started my career. It involves many of the applicable ballistic loads the body is meant to be trained through.
The functional training exercises I cover:
1.) Transverse Toss- This transverse plane exercise is great for the functional development of the anterior oblique system.
2.) Alternating Transverse Toss- Similar to the last exercise, only now it will involve more footwork along with the transverse throw. All planes of motion are covered in this exercise.
3.) Sprawl to Medicine Ball throw– Very tough exercise on the entire body. There’s probably not a muscle that is not working while doing this exercise.
